The representatives of local executive bodies, workers of regional prosecutor's offices, members of territorial election commissions, representatives of election headquarters of candidates, international observers and representatives of mass media took part in the events.
The members of the Central Election Commission explained to the participants all the novelties of the election laws and issues of financing the election campaign and informed them about the results of registration of candidates to deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan in 29 single-seat constituencies.
The deputy head of Zhetisu akim's Office Bahytgul Nusipova reported that 458 polling stations have been set up in Zhetisu oblast. All polling stations in the region began their work.
Measures have been taken to equip them properly, also taking into account the necessary conditions for people with disabilities.
On the day of voting it is planned to organize the work of 24 vehicles of the Invataxi service to deliver the disabled people to the polling stations.
In order to conduct explanatory work in all the districts and cities of the region there are 17 сall-centers, a telegram-bot and an online service "Check yourself in the voter's list". There is a 24-hour Single Contact Center that can receive up to 10 calls at a time.
In order to ensure a unified coordination of public observation, a list of coordinators of 11 people and a pool of 886 independent observers from the Zhetisu branch of the Coalition of Public Observers and NGO-partners were formed.
Similar work is carried out in the Almaty region. The head of the akim's Office, Tulegen Sarsembayev, reported that oblast residents can obtain information about their polling station and check their names in the voter lists at the Voter Search online service, via Telegram-bot, and through call centers in 10 regions and the city of Konaev.
As of today, 197 rooms for holding meetings of candidates with voters and 709 places for posting election campaign materials have been determined.
Special conditions at polling stations are provided for 1,353 citizens with disabilities. For today 595 out of 601 polling stations are equipped with ramps and 390 with tactile indicators at the entrance.
In addition, in the period of voting for persons with disabilities in all polling stations will be organized corners and equipped with booths, sign language specialists for voters with hearing impairment will be involved, as well as in the regional center and in all regions on the day of voting 18 vehicles of Invataxi service will be involved.
The trainings in the form of business game based on real cases were also held for the territorial election commissions in the oblasts and Almaty city visited by the CEC members.
During the organized game, members of election commissions demonstrated the process of voting at polling stations covering the entire voting process. They showed how precinct election commissions would work on Election Day, beginning with the registration of voters and issuance of ballots, until the completion of all work.
At the end of the seminar-meeting the members of the Central Electoral Commission answered all the questions the members of the territorial electoral commissions were interested in.
