The meeting of the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bolat Imanbaev with the Chief of Staff, Secretary General of the National Assembly of Armenia David Arakelyan and Armenian deputies was held, during which the issues of further development and strengthening of Kazakhstani-Armenian inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed.The Ambassador informed about the large-scale political and socio-economic modernization programme initiated by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan. Particular attention was paid to the constitutional reforms, preparation and conduct of upcoming parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan.
The Armenian side highly assessed the political and economic reforms taking place in Kazakhstan and expressed willingness to make all efforts to deepen the inter-parliamentary ties at bilateral level, as well as within the international parliamentary organizations. Arakelyan confirmed the participation of the Armenian deputies as international observers in the upcoming parliamentary elections on March 19 this year.
During the conversation the schedule of joint bilateral and international interparliamentary events during 2023 was also discussed.
