Madrid Fully Endorses Political Reforms in Kazakhstan

Madrid, February 23, 2023 - Kazakhstan's Ambassador Danat Musayev held a meeting with Spanish Secretary of State for Foreign and Global Affairs Ángeles Moreno Bau in Madrid. During the meeting, they discussed various issues related to politics, trade and economy, culture, and humanitarian affairs. They also exchanged views on important matters concerning the international agenda, ensuring that they were in alignment.
Particular attention was paid to the systematic contacts between the countries at the highest and highest levels, which further emphasizes the strategic nature of bilateral Kazakh-Spanish relations. In this context, the parties discussed the planned official visit of Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Jose Manuel Alvarez to Kazakhstan.

In turn, Moreno Bau stressed the full support of Madrid to the large-scale political reforms initiated by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, noting the importance of the upcoming elections to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.
