Kazakh Citizens Abroad Will Be Able to Vote in the Mazhilis Elections in 62 Countries

Citizens of Kazakhstan may take part in the early elections of deputies to Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan abroad.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Kazakhstan No. 104 of January 19 this year, on March 19, 2023 extraordinary elections of deputies to Mazhilis of the Parliament and Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be held.
Kazakhstan has established 77 polling stations at the foreign institutions of Kazakhstan in 62 foreign states.
To vote, citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan with active voting rights residing or staying for private, official, educational, business or tourism purposes in the respective foreign country and having valid passports of the Republic of Kazakhstan may apply to the diplomatic or consular mission of Kazakhstan, at which a polling station has been established.
Voting at the Kazakhstan’s diplomatic or consular missions, in accordance with clause 1 of Article 38 of the Constitutional Law of the RK On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan will be carried out on the Election Day (Sunday, March 19, 2023) from 7am to 8pm local time.
At the same time, in order to ensure timely and adequate preparation for voting abroad, we ask the citizens of Kazakhstan to contact the nearest polling station in advance and to provide information for inclusion in the voter lists.
