Capital Buses to Offer Free Fare on March 19

On March 19, Kazakhstan will hold elections to the Mazhilis of the Parliament and Maslikhats. On the election day in the capital the travel on buses will be free both on the city and suburban routes.
Public transport will run according to its regular schedule from 6:00 to 23:00h. From March 20, Monday, public transport will operate in the normal mode with the payment by bank transfer.
Note that since March 2020, on behalf of the akim of the capital was introduced free travel for all minors in the city. During this time, students have made 48 million trips.
Also free travel is used by preferential categories of citizens, including pensioners, people with disabilities, large families, etc.
